The Hospice Design Consultancy offers the following services:
1) Hospice building design consultancy
Mr. Moorhouse —
By reviewing all plans prepared by the projects' architect, it allows for a series of 'checks and balances' during the design process. This gives the architect someone with whom to bounce ideas back and forth, and provides a second pair of eyes to help catch oversights within the design.
Special effort is made to work closely with the selected architect to work together towards the common goal of creating a well designed building. This involves lengthy meetings at the onset of the project as well as reviewing all the architects work as it is produced.
2) Hospice building design consultancy and preliminary design
Mr. Moorhouse provides all the services outlined above with the addition of formulating the preliminary design of the building - working closely with the hospice group. Once the design is approved by the hospice building committee, a local architect will then be selected to continue the development of the design, prepare the construction drawings and specifications, and oversee the building construction.
3) Initial Consultancy
Mr. Moorhouse will also meet with hospice planning groups at an early stage, before a decision is made to build a new facility, to assist the group in understanding the process involved in creating a new facility.
